By 6 months, babies are becoming more physically mobile. They are now able to sit up - either own their own or with help. They can also roll over.

- Put toys just out of reach to help develop large motor skills
- Toys giving the opportunity to press, squeeze and push help with fine motor skills
- Provide physical soft play toys - these will help develop strength and mobility
- Textured activity stories, or rhyming books are ideal for a fun, shared experience which incorporates fine motor, intellectual and social skills
