The Little Book of Baby Massage's content and design is based on the many comments from parents and health professionals alike who find it difficult to learn massage from videos and some books already in circulation. Whilst there are some very good books on the subject, parents find them difficult to follow because the photos do not accurately show direction of the massage strokes. These books are also difficult to handle whilst trying to massage baby, as they do not always lie flat when opened. Pauline and Lorraine's book has been kept simple in design with the stroke direction clearly indicated. The effective massage sequence is safe and easy to follow so parents feel confident when applying the strokes. It is not too wordy as parents do not have the time to read lengthy books once caring for their little one. The spiral spine is so that the book will lie flat or fold back on itself and the pages have been coated so as to reduce any damage to the pages from oily hands.
